Our JTA's (Junior Travel Ambassadors) have been working hard today in advance of Walk to School week next week! They have been talking to every class about the benefits of walking to school and will be doing 'hands up' surveys next week to see the results! Even Betsy came to help them....
Thank you all for your generous donations today, we are overwhelmed with the response!
Tickets for the bottle tombola will be available to purchase at the mini fete on Thursday 26th May.
This week the Year 4 Athletics team attended an Athletics event at Upland Primary. Despite the rain making the event inside the Year 4 Athletics team showed tremendous teamwork and respect to the other schools they were competing against. Belmont came 4th overall but a particular highlight of the gathering was Belmont winning the Girls relay race! Well done to all those that were involved!
You may have noticed a LSEAT double decker bus parked in the staff carpark. We are very excited to tell you that the bus was gifted to us by the Trust and is going to be renovated to create a library for Belmont pupils. They have also given us a pot of money from their Recovery Premium Fund which has enabled us to move forward in getting it refurbished. Mr Jones one of our Premises Managers, is busy transforming the bus and we hope that it will be ready for September.
Although it will finally be positioned in the KS2 playground, it will be accessed by all year groups across the school as much as possible. To see how Mr Jones is progressing click below...
