Welcome from our headteacher Lucy Childs
We are a two form entry school with a virtual resource provision for pupils who are visually impaired or blind and for children with a physical and/or medical need. Our resource provision does not operate separately from the rest of the school and we pride ourselves on our inclusive practice. Our aim is to provide excellent learning experiences to our pupils in a safe, calm and positive environment preparing our pupils for the next stage of their learning and supporting them to reach their full potential.
Situated on the borders of Bexleyheath and Erith in the London Borough of Bexley, our excellent environment provides our pupils with the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, ensuring that they thrive socially, physically, emotionally and academically. Our pupils are well behaved and eager to learn making them a pleasure to teach.

We are committed to developing the whole child and recognise that moral, social and emotional wellbeing are essential in ensuring students leave ready for the next stage of their learning and are effective contributors to society. We understand values are 'a way of being'. Our values are Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Honesty and Kindness.
Our values are core to everything we do and underpin the learning of our pupils. Our pupils are taught about these values in weekly acts of collective worship and through the curriculum

- Belmont Academy is so inclusive and we cannot thank the staff enough for the guidance they have given us over the years. They have truly transformed our lives and I know we would not be where we are today without their support and commitment to true inclusivity
Parents of a visually impaired student - Pupils love coming to this kind and welcoming school. Pupils are happy and safe here. This is a calm and orderly school, but also one where pupils can learn and have fun.Ofsted - July 2023
- This was such an inspirational evening. I am sure I speak for all the Mayors in the other Boroughs when I say how proud we are of the children and young people in all our schools.
